Well, apparently the Attack of the 19-inch Zliks exhibit at My Plastic Heart was a success last Friday, so they are offering up some of the goodies from the show for sale. There are several custom, hand-made 19-inch Zliks available for sale here. Some of them have already sold out, but there are several still available, and if you can't afford the ridiculously expensive price tags, you can always pick up a copy of the Limited Ed. 18" x 24" poster from the exhibit for only eighteen bucks. You better hurry, though, because there are only 100 copies of the poster available. In terms of the custom 19-inch Zliks still available, my favorite is the Atomic Explorer by Brian Taylor [pictured above, left]. It is $1,500, though, which is way, way, way out of my price range. My favorite that has already been sold is Vicarious Vegetation by Cameron Tiede [pictured above, center]. It is one of the finest crafted pieces from the exhibit. I am also quite fond of Forgotten Hero by Jester [pictured above, right] for its resemblance to a World War II Curtiss P-40 aircraft, its use of graffiti and the inclusion of rust as one of the components of its construction. It is still available for the low, low price of only $850.00! Cheap!
Your source for and about everything limited-edition, rare, one-of-a-kind, hand-made, or custom including toys, shoes, fashion, t-shirts, posters, prints, paintings, sculpture, and technology that you can't actually afford.
