Work, Work, Work

I have been so figgin' busy at work this week I have had hardly any time to search for interesting and Limited Ed. items for all of you out there in TV Land, I mean WWW Land, to gawk at and drool over. Luckily, my slack gets picked up by quite a few other websites. Like Josh Rubin who posted about the new Limited Ed. issue of Visionaire:

That comes out next month. It is limited to 1500 copies and instead of using ink it features laser-cut printing, similar to the technique used on these Laser Cut Nike's. It should be very interesting to look at. Of course, for $175.00 an issue, I won't be actually looking at it any time soon.

Also, on the ultra-rare front, Gizmodo reported today about an adorable Limited Ed. Hello Kitty! guitar:

Just $500.00 with shipping! That thing would be perfect for the B.K.C.R.O.! Just imagine our lead guitarist shredding some wild cock-rock on that thing.

My personal thanks goes out to all of those out there who are keeping the Limited Ed. spirit alive. Now it is time for me to go home and pass out!

(Please ignore any references to the Cock Rock Disco as it is a contradiction in terms.)

Daddy, Can I Have Some Candy?

Hamina, hamina, hamina... Limited Ed. likee the pretty compooter:

One step closer to a Mac tablet? Of course, there is this:

But after their tentativeness with the Newton, who knows when it will, if ever, see the light of day.

Where's My Robosexual?!

What a lovely weekend! I shot a miserable 115 at Occoneechee Golf Club on Sunday finishing well ahead of hurricane Gaston's visit to North Cackalacky. The more I play golf, the worse I seem to get. Of course, the lessons are helping. What I really need to get my golf game going is one of these Limited (special) Ed. Signature Series Robosapiens:

Everyone from Gizmodo to I4U Tech News has been blabbing about these things from Sharper Image. Whew, it comes in chrome or blue and is signed by Mark Tilden, the toys inventor. Yeah, but can it carry my golf bag and help me with my slice? That's the real question. Actually, the real question is, "How good is it in bed?" With a body like that, it could rock my world anyday! (Damn I need a girlfriend!)

Mini Dick?

I4u Tech News features a report today on the Limited Ed. Sony Qualia 017 MiniDisc Player:

Now while this player is pretty, made of brass coated in palladium (isn't that a club in London?), limited to only 15 units produced per month, and features HD amplification and G-Protection (protecting the g-spot?), it isn't a MiniDisc recorder, which greatly limits its functionality. For example, after I spend the $2,399.00 on the pretty, shiny toy I won't be able to take it to the Phish show and stand in the recording section with all the dirty hippies and make a lousy recording of the show and probably get knocked down and have my MD recorder smashed or stolen. What a waste.

Coolest Thing Ever!

Not really Limited Ed. but definitely one-of-a-kind, original, and hand-made are these PaperFormers:

Found via Gizmodo these paste-together D.I.Y. robots ACTUALLY TRANSFORM! How sick is that?! Not as cool as the new BinalTech BT-10 Grimlock 2005 Ford Mustang:

But what is? The PaperFormers are free, though, so that makes them slightly more cool than they would be if they cost, say, $54.95.

P.S. - if anyone wants to buy me one of those BinalTech Grimlocks, it would look sweet next to my BinalTech SilverStreak and my 20th Anniversay Masterpiece Optimus Prime.

Matisyahu On Jimmy Kimmel, LIVE!

So my favorite Hasidic Reggae Superstar, Matisyahu, was on the late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live last night making his first national television appearance. Now twelve more people know who he is! Yippee! If you are not one of the twelve people that actually watch Jimmy Kimmel's show, Matisyahu's performance was most excellent. I have been searching the internet for a bootleg of the performance but have yet to find one. If anyone knows where I can find it, let me know. Until then, I will just have to be satisfied pre-ordering Matisyahu's new CD, Shake Off The Dust... Arise:

Which will be out in October from JDub Records and listening to the three tracks that JDub has on their Audio Jukebox. I first saw Matisyahu at last year's Jeweltide: A Chanukah Bash at Southpaw in Brooklyn with Mike and Leia and have been hooked ever since. Big ups to Jah!

Holy Crap Monkeys!

New toys, new toys, new TOYS!!! Why do I not get paid until next Monday?! Crap! Does anyone out there have a couple of hundred bucks I can borrow so that I can get all of the new Limited Ed. Vinyl Uglydolls that Ningyoushi has on their website? They are just so damn cute and ugly at the same time it makes me want to take them home and masturbate all over them. And since these ones are vinyl and not the usual plush Uglydolls, the jizz would just wash right off instead of sticking to their fur, like it does with my cat! Again, my favorites, if anyone out there wants to get me an early Hannukah present, are Icebat:

And Target:

Also, be sure to check out the cute new Limited Ed. Dalek Space Monkey Ci Boys:

On the Kidrobot website. They are limited to 2000 each, so y'all better buy them for me quick. Suprisingly, Ningyoushi beat Kidrobot to the punch on the Uglydolls, but Kidrobot beat Ningyoushi on the Space Monkeys. What does the next designer toy battle hold in store for us? Only the Shadow knows.

Exciting Weekend

Well, it sure was an exciting weekend, not just for me with my cousin's engagement party and my friend Franklin's return from Germany, but also for Mr. Michael Lau, who had his latest See You At SIXS exhibit in Hong Kong, Tokyo and London simultaneously. It must have been hard for him to be in all three places at once. The exhibit did last for three days, though, so he could have flown to each event, hung out for a couple of hours and then flown on to the next event. He wouldn't have even had to fly to the Hong Kong exhibit, since that's where he lives (duh). Maharishi was responsible for hosting the exhibit in London and they already have all of the Limited Ed. figures from the exhibit available on their website. The only other place I have seen to get the new ML figures right now is W.H.Y. Workshop. I'm sure all of the other toy stores will have them soon enough, but why wait?

Sorry no product pictures today, I have been too busy with work to get to them. Also, if you click on the links, I'm sure you'll find them.

Holy crap that thing's creepy looking!

Thanks to Bifurcated Rivets for the info.

Wangcaster And Other Great Guitar Names

I saw this guitar:

On It Is OK and remembered that I had seen it before. Not on Consumption Junction where Jon obviously found it, but on it's actual homesite, Hand Carved Guitars by Doug Rowell. These are definitely Limited Ed., hand-made, one-of-a-kind, originals. My favorites, other than the Wangcaster of course, are the Sam-Bone:

Because I'm totally all into the whole darkness and death thing. In fact, I might go suck the marrow from an infant right now. But before I do, I would also like to mention one of my other favorite guitars from Doug's site, the Dragoncaster:

Because I was a big D&D nerd when I was a kid. Kind of explains the whole 'baby-marrow sucking' thing, doesn't it?
