Futurama Mama

Futurama Mini-figsFuturama Mini-figs
I know, that title is terrible. I just couldn't think of anything clever to use as a title to better describe the adorably cute and great new Futurama mini-figure set from Kidrobot. I love The Simpsons mini-figs that Kidrobot did. They feature great sculpts and quality and feel really good in your hand. They are very solid and heavy for their size. And I'm guessing the Futurama figures will be the same. I'm not sure what the two chase figures are, but when I got my first Kidrobot Simpsons figure it just happened to be one of the chase figures, Snake, actually one of my favorite characters from The Simpsons. Hopefully the Futurama chase figures are equally as cool. Anyway, back to the job hunt. I got some more stuff to post later, so keep an eye out... literally! Just like Leela would!

Hollow Weenies

Kidrobot 15 KidreaperMan, I am so mature. Anyway, it has been a while since I was really excited about anything Kidrobot was doing, other than a moderate interest in The Simpsons figures and the Adult Swim mini figures, but I do get excited when they put out a new Kidrobot figure, especially one associated with Halloween. I have a few of the early Kidrobot figures and I just might have to add this Kidrobot 15 Kidreaper figure [pictured above] to my collection. I haven't bought any toys since I have been in LA and there are several toy stores here! Creatures in My Head creator Andrew Bell is responsible for this little bit of awesomeness. He will be in New York for its release tomorrow, October 16th, and then in Chicago the next day, signing autographs and living the jet set lifestyle. The figure glows in the dark and apparently there is a chase figure out there for some lucky person. I am going to try to make it out to the LA Kidrobot store tomorrow and pick one up. Just $50. Gotta' keep the economy strong!

Action Slug... Away!

Frank Kozik Big Bob SlugUh, maybe not? Anyway, Kidrobot has just announced the latest creation from the twisted mind of Frank Kozik, Big Bob Slug [pictured above]. Mounted on Bob's back is Kozik's smorkin' Labbit, smoking away. As is Bob, the slug. No wonder he is so slow. Big Bob will be released next Thursday, July 17th, for just $50. It is Limited Ed. and will probably sell out pretty quickly online, so make sure you kids hurry up and GET YOUR SLUG ON!

Adult Swim Toy Day!

Adult Swim FiguresThe day has finally arrived! Today Kidrobot will start selling their new line of Limited Ed. Cartoon Network Adult Swim-themed toys! They come in a blind box assortment and feature all of our favorite Adult Swim characters, but what Mac and I are most excited about are the Squidbillies figures. We are probably going to have to go in together on a couple of cases so that we can get all of them. Kidrobot hasn't made them available on their website yet, but it should be any time now... soon... hopefully.

Update: Available now! Get them before they are gone!

Oui Oui, Croisant!

Le Dunny Trading Party
Le Dunny Trading Party
I am disappointed to see that Wootini has been excluded from the list of trading parties. Hopefully nothing bad is going on between Kidrobot and Wootini. That would suck! We should all get along people. Come on, isn't this whole thing about the love?

Ninjas Are Coming!

Shiro KidninjaHaiiro Kidninja
Kidrobot got themselves some new figures, the Limited Ed. Kidrobot 14, Kidninja figures. These two figures, designed by Kidrobot's own Huck Gee, come in two flavors, white and gray. The white Kidninja is known as Shiro [pictured above, left] and the gray Kidninja is Haiiro [above, right]. Each of them comes with several accessories, including shukos, ninja sword and obi sash. They will be available on Valentine's Day, for all of your stealthy ninja-love needs, for $39.95. They are limited to only 1000 pieces of each colorway, so you better be on the ball because these little 7-inch fella's are gonna' go quick!

Kidrobot Heats Up

Kidrobot Miami Grand OpeningI wish I could be in Miami tonight. Not just because it would be a lot warmer than it is up here in cold old North Cackalacka, but because the new Kidrobot Miami Store Grand Opening is tonight from 6-8pm. This is the largest Kidrobot store to date, featuring over 1,000 sq. ft. of designer urban toy goodness. For the opening, Kidrobot fave Huck Gee has created 305 super-limited Miamified 3" Skullhead Dunnys [pictured above]. Mr. Gee will be at the opening to sign figures for those lucky enough to get in through the maddening crowds. After the opening, there will be an after party at Miami hot-spot WISH at The Hotel (named one of the 50 Best New Restaurants in the World by Conde Naste Traveler and one of the most expensive restaurants near Kidrobot Miami) featuring contests and giveaways starting at 9pm sharp. Don't miss the madness! Kidrobot Miami is located at 638 Collins Ave. and WISH is located at 801 Collins Ave. in Miami Beach, FL.
