Why So Expensive?

Big Red MartinIn these economic times of hardship for all, breadlines for some, gov't cheese for others, why, 3A, have you released such a sweet-ass figure at such a high price? I know these things are going to sell out, most to resellers who will jack the price up even higher, but I still find myself drooling as I admire the CCCP logo on the front of the Big Red Martin. It is huge. Also, I am, of course, a Communist sympathizer. Just kidding, good ol' USA! I could never sell out my country, but I do like the aesthetic of old skool Soviet-era propaganda art, a la Shepard Fairey, et al. Anyway, if anyone got three hundred bones to throw my way I would love to own one of these magnificent robots. I can dream, can't I? It is available for pre-order now, so go knock yourselves out.

B.T.W. Happy 420 Everybody!

Samberger

OYABUN Naga 12-inch figures and T-Shirt available nowI ran into Andy Samberg at Loteria at the Farmer's Market today. He is soooooo much cuter in person than he is on the TV. I had to walk by him when he was at the water cooler and grab some water to get a closer look. He ain't a big feller, but I bet he can squeeeeeeeal real perty. Next time I see him, I'm gonna make him take off that itty bitty shirt... and them itty bitty panties.

Just kidding... I had my way with him right there in the middle of all the market stalls. It was good, too. Real nice and quick, like a cat. Then he wiped off the blood and was gone. What a shame. Oh well, you never know who you are going to run into in this town.

Also, if anyone out there actually believes any of this, other than the fact that I ran into Andy Samberg at Loteria, damn y'all is gullible. He isn't even really that cute.

Death

Les Mort by Ashley WoodAlright, now that I'm settled in, it's time for some Limited Ed. shit. I got e-mail from 3A, Ashley Wood and 3-Zero's collaboration toy company, letting me know that their new 12" figure Les Mort [pictured above] is now available over at Bambaland. I am a huge fan of both Ashley Wood and 3-Zero and this is one sweet-ass figure. Unfortunately, I just moved to LA and don't have a job (yet) or an apartment, so it might be a little while before I buy any more toys. But for only $130, it is a lot cheaper than some of Ashley's other toys.

Merde!

Nom de PlumeI just got word from the man Ashley Wood himself that Nom de Plume is available now over at Bambaland. I went to check it out, and it actually goes on sale tomorrow, June 25th, but then I checked Ashley's blog and it is June 25th Hong Kong time, which is RIGHT NOW!!! Alright, not yet, but I'm sure soon. I just wanted to give the heads-up because only 50 will be available, and I'm sure they will sell out quick, even at $150. There's a picture of the box over at Bambaland, but I have no idea what the figure will actually look like (other than the hints over at Ashley's blog). I'm sure if it is from Mr. Wood it will be sweet.

Kidney For Sale

Dirty Deeds BertieDesert Rat Bertie
Bertie the Pipe Bomb, one of the coolest toys ever produced, has finally gone on sale. Unfortunately, I would need to sell a kidney to get one, because they are going for $300 (plus $30 shipping) a piece! Ridiculous. Of course, there are only 40 of each colorway made and I'm pretty sure Ashley Wood hand painted each one, so it makes sense that they would be expensive. Anyway, you can get them now over at Bambaland, but you better hurry, because they will probably sell out today.
