Big And Floppy
One of my favorite large-scale, floppy/inflatable sculptors and painters, Jeff Koons, will discuss his work in conversation with Katy Siegel, associate professor of art history at Hunter College, critic, contributing editor at Artforum magazine, and author of a major essay in his new monograph, at the 92nd Street Y on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 8:15 PM. I wish I could be there for that, but unfortunately I live in North Crapalacka, where no interesting artists come to speak. Tickets are available for $26 or $16 for College Art Association members or teachers with ID. To purchase, call the 92nd Street Y at 212.415.5500 or order on-line at the 92nd Street Y.
